I did it. No, we did it. We made the jump. It's not a sham, I'm a sahm. (And clearly a dork too.)
Before I became pregnant, James and I made the decision for me to
change careers to one that would let me spend more time with the kids. I was starting the preparations to move in that direction until baby came along.
Toward the middle of my pregnancy with Francesca, James and I prayerfully made the decision for me to stop working and become a stay at home mom. Then some external event happened, which could really impact how we make ends meet. But we decided to step out in faith. We still don't know what's going on with that other thing; we don't know when it will be settled, but we'll just continue to trust that God will provide for us. as he always has. We both knew there was no other option. I would become a stay at home mom.
And now I am! For the first time ever! EVER! Can you tell I'm excited?! We aren't sure how long we'll do this, but I know I'm a stay at home mom for at least a year. I hope this will be a long-term thing, but we'll just see where God leads us.
So be prepared for what this might mean for this blog. It might become more mommified.
I'M A STAY AT HOME MOM!!!!
I started thinking "a year or two", and I'm somewhere in Year 4. I am never bored, always very busy, with a house just as messy as when I worked. I'm also starting my 3rd year as a Daisy Leader, am the President of the PTA, and I've lost count of the events I've chaired at school. I LOVE IT. I can't believe life was preparing me all along to be good at this. I wish you for you all the happiness I have found (after you survive the adjusting period!).

I'm definitely not as productive as I thought I would be, but I keep telling myself it's because my youngest is only 3 months old so I know I have lots of time to figure out our routine...we're getting there. Thank you for the inspiration!
