Dear friends, for quite some time now I've debated with myself about whether I would say anything to you at all. And I've come to the conclusion that yes, yes I will say something.
Baby #3 is coming on May 30th whether we are ready or not. And I'm trying to get ready as much as I can, but between my sister and I, we gave away almost all of our baby things so I've been spending a little bit of time each payday to buy things for baby because, let's face it, no one is going to throw me a shower for my third baby. I'm pretty much starting from nothing; just about the only things I've kept are our crib, stroller, and a broken highchair.
My dear friend, Mona, is so kindly giving me her cloth diapering sets and she already gave me her baby carrier. So check and check - thank you sister! Our baby monitor already arrived - check. As well as some essentials like flat fold cloth diapers for burp cloths - check. And my favorite disposable nursing pads (just for the first month or two until I can more easily use washable ones) - check. Oh, and a baby bathtub - check.
But there are still a lot of things we don't have. Like receiving blankets, clothes, newborn mittens, clothes, breast pump, play yard, rocker/bouncer, etc. So to help me organize what and when I will buy these things, I created a wish list on Walmart (I started at Amazon, but I've found that my love for Walmart online has been reignited due to price and shipping options). The wish list really was intended only for me, but I've decided to put it out there to see if there's anything on it that you have and are selling or looking to give away. I'm in no way asking you to buy anything for us, but I'm also in no way stopping you from doing so.
There are probably more things we need than are on the list, but this is all my pregnant brain can currently wrap my mind around. The onesies on the list are more of a reminder to buy clothes in general and not that those are the only clothes I plan to buy this baby. Though I do love onesies. I'd just like to know whether we are having a boy or girl before I start committing to color choices. Thank goodness Old Navy has a few gender neutral options.
Let me know if you want me to email you the list, otherwise, due to address and phone number privacy concerns, I'm only linking to the list on Facebook when I share this post. There are a lot of other women having babies around the same time as me, and many of them are first time moms, so I imagine a lot of baby gear has already been passed along to them. But if there is anything else that you're looking to unload or sell, please send me an email.
So many gifts for Mona Jr! :P
ReplyDeleteHow do I "like" your comment? haha! We finally settled on names, but I was so close to calling this one Renesme because of how it feels like it's trying to tear out of me and also, apparently, Jacob can interpret its thoughts.
