My mother and my aunt love to watch movies at the theater. They almost always watch comedies. So I was quite surprised when one day several months ago my mother asked me about Breaking Dawn.
Me: Breaking Dawn? No, mom, you wouldn't like it.
Her: What's it about?
Then she surprised me again a few days later when she came home and told me they went and saw Breaking Dawn.
Me: How was it?
It was no use explaining to her that Breaking Dawn is the fourth of a five-part movie series that is based on a bestselling book series. And it's actually really great and a lot of it is about the struggle between good and evil and it actually has a lot of old school romance in it. And I don't know why you watched it because I told you you weren't going to like it - especially since you didn't see the first three movies! And I know that no matter what it really is about, in your mind it's only going to be about vampires! I already know your style and I didn't want to have to feel this way and defend my movie! Nope, no use. She just couldn't understand why I and my 16-year-old niece are crazy Twilight super fans.
Her: But I liked the wolves.
I guess we can assume she's Team Jacob. Which makes sense because my son is Jacob and she seems to like that strong masisu look.
