That's all. Just two little things. I would have warmly welcomed an iPad or tablet, or a Kindle Fire. But I'm a realist, and if James spent that kind of money on me, it would mean that our family budget would be reduced by that much. Besides, I already spent enough of our family budget when I bought his Christmas and birthday gifts - a telescope and ipod touch, respectively.
So imagine my sadness when James declared that he couldn't find a Revlon brand cuticle nipper at any of the stores I suggested. Can you believe it? Not one on this whole island. I can believe it.
Now, image my sadness when he then declared that, as of Christmas Eve, my other gift, the Twilight Graphic Novel, still hadn't arrived.
Well, the truth is, I wasn't sad.
He made a great effort to locate the nippers and I knew good and well that the book was on it's way. But he so lovingly wanted to make sure I had a gift to open on Christmas morning, so on December 24th, he took the kids out to buy me a consolation Christmas gift of various fabrics and the encyclopedia of sewing. He is so thoughtful.
Guess what? It arrived!
