Would you believe that December 27, 2011, was the first time I ever made blueberry pancakes? It's true. I've made plenty of banana pancakes and nearly as many apple cinnamon pancakes, I have made pumpkin spice pancakes, and I may have even made strawberry pancakes, but not blueberry. Until now.
Fresh blueberries are out of the question for me on Saipan. I could fill my family on rib eye steak for the price of one tiny basket of blueberries. So instead, I buy frozen blueberries every now and then.
Homemade blueberry pancakes with fresh whipped cream and local bananas. Now that's a Christmas vacation breakfast.
ETA (1/7/12): I was wrong. I just realized I have made blueberry pancakes before. But they weren't nearly as good as these.
