A Delicious Mess

I set out to make two Oreo pies one evening. If you are going to make Oreo pies, be sure not  to knock your bowl of crushed Oreo cookies off the counter so it lands upside down on your carpet.

Spilled Cookie Crumbs

Yes, learn from my fail. Do not do that. You don't want sticky, sugary cookie crumbs in your carpet. Nobody wants that. Plus, losing half of your crumbs means that you'll only be able to make one Oreo pie.

What should you do if you do end up with crushed Oreos in your carpet? All I can tell you is what I did. I improvised because I had already done most of the prep to fill two pies. I decided to make one Oreo and one coffee pie.

And let me tell you, they were great. I've been referring to these pies as Oreo and coffee pies. But they are so much better than their boring names suggest. They aren't cream pies and they aren't quite cream cheese pies - they are thick and creamy and rich and oh so flavorful. Their names don't do them justice and neither do these pictures. But Katelyn is pretty darn cute, isn't she?
