And then came my third pregnancy. (That's right now.)
I went to Super Fresh to pick up something for lunch one day and this little tiny bottle of Sunny D called out me. It said, "Deece, I will go great with that turkey sandwich - come on, just this once."
So without giving it another thought, I bought that little bottle of Sunny D.
And it. was. good. So good, in fact, that it was all I could think about drinking for the next few days. I had to get some more. But would you believe that there are only a few stores on Saipan where one can buy that delicious sunshine in a bottle? It's true, I've checked all the stores that I normally go to - the only places to find this stuff are Joeten Garapan and Super Fresh. And Super Fresh is the only place to buy the big bottles.
I'd buy at least six of the small bottles anytime I stopped in at Joeten Garapan and two of the big ones at Super Fresh. I tried the mango flavored Sunny D once - don't waste your time. I haven't tried the fruit punch because they've been out of stock. I've had the tangy original, but I prefer the Sunny D Smooth.
Alas, the time has come in this pregnancy that all things citrus leave a sour taste in my mouth. I can no longer enjoy Sunny D with reckless abandon, now I drink it with some enjoyment, but only moments later I need something else to wash away the aftertaste.
Goodbye Sunny D, I just might miss you. But maybe not since I normally can't stand you. Then again, perhaps this is a temporary souring . . . I still have some time left in this pregnancy, perhaps I will buy the fruit punch if it shows up again. Although, the fruit punch doesn't seem all that appealing. Oh well, let's just play it by ear.
You've been good to me, Sunny D. You've been real good.
