Every single facet of my life has been absolutely exhausting lately. But, I mean, who's life isn't?

You know the whole "if it's yellow let it mellow" concept? In theory, I'm a fan. In practice, come on, who really wants to pee into a toilet of old pee?

So it's lent season now, aye? Is that what it's called - lent season? You'd think I would know, having grown up on a predominantly catholic island.

Typical Friday lent conversation between me any nearly any other Chamorro on Saipan:

Me: Fish again? Oh right. Lent.

Other Person: Man I can't wait to eat rice again. What did you give up?

Me: Nothing. I'm not catholic.

Other Person: YOU'RE NOT CATHOLIC?!?!?!!!!!!

Me: No.

Other Person: *flabbergastedly speechless*

I wonder if the catholic church would subsidize incomes if patrons gave up their jobs for lent? Would they provide maids if patrons gave up housework?
