I love these guys so much!

My daughter's artistic ability knows no bounds. I am amazed more and more every day by her ability to conceptualize the abstract and turn rational ideas into art. Sometimes I feel like the world is just a series of jokes to her.

...until she gets upset - and then it's Katelyn against the world. But that's for another post.

Having never taken a photography class or workshop in her five years of life, Katelyn took these pictures of us at the park last month (completely unedited):

I'm blown away.

And now I give you the pictures that Jabob took:

Awesome.

Just For Today

If you asked me when I was a girl what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have told you that I wanted to be a lawyer.

If you asked me when I was a teenager, I would have said a civil engineer.

If you asked me when I was in my first two years of college, I would have said a city planner.

If you asked me when I was in my last two years of college, I would have said a general manager/CEO.

I am currently none of the above. If you asked me today, I'd tell you I prefer the view from below - or at least from the upper-mid level.

Just for today, if you could do anything you wanted, what would it be?

Free Form. Not Free.

I'm the one sending emails at midnight.
Fleeting weekends.
Too much coffee, I don't sleep right.`

One half bleeds into the other.
Dripping into shallow pools,
Blocking out the light - that shining light.

Patience wears thin.
Consequence swims in the shallows.
Looking for a ledge.

Germs seep in,
But the virus is at bay.

My pillar, my rock.
Remove me.
