Lovely, I tell you.

I hope your Christmas was as lovely as ours was. This very well may have been our most stress free Christmas ever. Lovely, I tell you.

I didn't cook. I didn't bake. I didn't clean - okay, maybe I tidied up a bit and also did the dishes once or twice. The only thing that could have possibly added to the day would have been taking a nap. Alas, my children are six and four, that means I don't nap. Ever.

Santa brought Jacob a new bike and helmet!

And mom and dad gave Katelyn an Easy Bake Oven! She'll have full control over desserts once the baby arrives. This is Katelyn preparing to remove her red velvet cupcakes from the Easy Bake (notice the potholder made from her new loom; notice, also, the photo-bombing little brother).

Merry Christmas, my friends. 2012 is three days away. And thank goodness, because I'll finally be able to give my husband his birthday gift. I'm getting tired of pretending like I still don't know what to get him.

3 words of wisdom:

  1. Oh they look so happy! I can't wait to hear what you got your husband.

  2. Well, for Christmas I gave him a telescope. It's actually pretty cool and it's something he's wanted for a while now. The kids gave him a tee shirt and a rubies' cube. I'll let you know about his bday gifts a little later. Give me a call if you have some free time tomorrow. Just call my cell first. Miss you!
