I'm bugging out because I'm sick. Again. I'm so sick of this. What is wrong with me that I'm always sick? Am I sickly person now? Am I ever going to have more than one week sick-free? I know I'm not, but I feel like I'm a dirty person because I just keep getting sick. Only unsanitary people get sick this often, right? Any advice? Do I need to start taking echinacea? St. John's Wort? What? Help!
I'm also bugging out because of the freaking bugs everywhere!
On Saturday I killed a daddy long leg spider. That was an amazing feat on my part. I only did it because my kids were around and I'm trying really hard not to project my fears onto them. But if I could have had it my way, I would have just stood there watching it while I yelled for James or any other human near by to come and rescue me. I threw a paper towel on top of it and smashed the paper towel with Jacob's plastic golf club. But the even more amazing part was that I didn't just leave the paper towel there, I actually picked it up and threw it away, spider and all. Ew! Gave me the shivers.
On Sunday, as I picked up the broom to sweep our front porch, a grasshopper hopped in my face and as I hopped up in a panic, my heel lifted from my zorri and the grasshopper tried to commit suicide by throwing itself under my heel. Gross!
There are rollie pollies everywhere! I'm so sick of them. I'm sick of them crawling around my house. I'm sick of finding dead ones in the corner. I'm sick of having to find cardboard to slide them onto so I can throw them outside. I'm sick of sweeping them off the porch. I'm sick of rollie pollies!
A brown gecko attacked me as we were driving to work on Monday morning. Good thing I wasn't driving. And good thing it wasn't a spider. Because if if it was a spider, I would have jumped out of the moving vehicle. I am not even joking.
Yesterday at work, as I sorted through a stack of papers I discovered a dead bee lying on one of the pages that was sticking out of the bottom of the stack. It was pretty disgusting. It became even more disgusting when I realized that it must have been the bee that was flying around the office about a month ago. My coworker probably injured it when she batted it away from her with a small yellow notepad. I think it made its way over to my desk to die. So I pulled the trashcan over to sit under the edge of my desk. And I did my best not to look at what I was doing when I pulled the stack of papers to the edge of my tabletop and shook them to drop the dead bee in the trash can. It left yellow spots on the page where it died. Disgusting!
I'm sick of being sick. And I'm sick of all the bugs. I need a vacation. A sick-free, bug-free vacation full of laughter and hugs and family.

3 words of wisdom:
Hope you discover the source of your inconsistant/constant illness and banish it below. Can't help you with the bug thing, I sort of like insects especially the big green ones with the forelegs and fangs, but that is just me. Empbrace the daddy long leggs (symbolically) and realize how many of the annoying biting stinging ones, they remove. Best I can do for you, but hope you feel better.
I do not envy you one bit. My phobia are roaches...dead or alive!!!
Hope you get better Deece.
Big - Big green ones with forelegs and fangs?! I took Insects in Civilization in college. I am still not sympathetic to them one bit. I understand their roles, I still don't think we need them. ha ha
Polly - When I started back at NMC at the finance office last June, the roaches were everywhere! Every day there would be at least two crawling around or dead. Just before I started there they fumigated the place so all the roaches were coming out of the woodwork to die. So gross! But I haven't seen one in about a month and a half.
